Warm up with Bartolottas
January 09, 2019
Winter has officially set in, and it is time to cozy up to the fireplace, bundle up for walks in the snow, and find creative ways to stay warm in Wisconsin’s frigid temperatures. Many of our chefs and bartenders add dishes or cocktails to reflect the season’s bounty. A dish that might take a backseat during the warmer months takes center stage during winter. We asked some of our staff to highlight a few of their favorites.
At Rumpus Room - A Bartolotta Gastropub - the Lamb Stew entrée is a great way to warm up. The dish includes lamb sourced from one of our favorite local vendors, Strauss Meats, and potatoes, carrots, English peas, and a skosh of a local stout in the broth.
Mr. B’s—A Bartolotta Steakhouse—Mequon has added a special mulled wine to its bar menu this winter. Mr. B’s has put its own touch on this traditional beverage, using ingredients such as cinnamon sticks, whole allspice, cloves, star anise and local honey from Steve’s Bees instead of raw sugar.
Mr. B’s—A Bartolotta Steakhouse—Brookfield glows with the blaze of its fireplace in the bar area all winter long. General Manager Vince Halpin recommends ordering the gooey, scrumptious French Onion soup or enjoying a heartwarming traditional whiskey Manhattan for $5 during Happy Hour.
