Milwaukee Magazine Chef Event

There is no denying that the food scene in Milwaukee is booming, and Bartolottas is proud to have laid the groundwork for this culinary explosion through a dedication to fine dining and service for over 24 years. We recently partnered with Milwaukee Magazine to host an event to bring together and celebrate our great city’s culinary talent. The inaugural Milwaukee Magazine’s Chef Event was held at Downtown Kitchen on Wednesday, April 19. The event was a collaboration between one of the pillars of Milwaukee's media scene and the chefs pioneering the city's gastronomic ingenuity. While most nights of the week our chefs are in competing kitchens, the camaraderie was on full display to a full room of over 200 guests. 

Our own Executive Chef of Ristorante Bartolotta, Juan Urbieta, was alongside seven other top Milwaukee chefs who came together for a night of signature tastings, cocktails, and entertainment. The chefs, all featured on the March cover of Milwaukee Magazine gathered earlier in the year to discuss all things food - including fine dining's comeback, the farm-to-table-movement, and in-depth conversation about their personal lives and career ambitions. The Chef Event was like nothing the city has seen, where competitors came together to cook in the same kitchen and lucky guests had full access to their culinary prowess, as well as the opportunity to mingle with the chefs. 

We are thrilled to have hosted the first-ever Milwaukee Magazine Chef Event and we hope to continue to build a community around our city's thriving restaurant scene. Milwaukee is gaining national attention as a destination for food, and our chefs and their staffs are a large part of the reason. We hope that this is the first of many more educational (and delicious) evenings to come.
