CARRIE KOENIG NAMED DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENT AND FACILITIES
Reinforcing its long-held belief that the restaurant experience is as much about the environment as it is the food and hospitality, The Bartolotta Restaurants has appointed veteran interior design and project management expert Carrie Koenig to serve as Director of Environment and Facilities for the company’s award-winning restaurant and catering portfolio. Ms. Koenig brings more than 12 years of experience and expertise in commercial interiors, space planning, budgeting, and facilities management, and she will oversee four major components of The Bartolotta Restaurants: public areas, horticulture and externals, stewarding, and engineering; with a focus on fulfilling the “Bartolotta Promise” of delivering an exceptional guest experience and ensuring the environment presented in the company’s restaurants and catering facilities remains best in class.
“The Bartolotta Restaurants has become the leader of Milwaukee’s dining culture because of their commitment to challenging expectations and developing a guest-focused experience that engages all the senses,” Ms. Koenig says. “I have been looking for the opportunity to engage in local hospitality design, work alongside fellow creatives and be a part of a community-focused organization. I am tremendously honored to join The Bartolotta Restaurants family.”
Throughout her career, Ms. Koenig has been responsible for managing numerous initiatives through conception, design, construction, and completion. She joins The Bartolotta Restaurants following a successful tenure as Facilities Planner for FIS Global. She also served as head of her own interior design firm, CK Interior Solutions, Inc., counting Milwaukee Area Technical College among her high-profile clientele.
“Carrie is the experienced and committed leader we want and need to enhance our facilities standards and increase the pride in our work environments, as well as the ambiance for our guests,” says The Bartolotta Restaurants Co-Founder and Owner Chef Paul Bartolotta. “She is a forward-thinking visionary and exactly the creative spirit that we want on our team.”
Ms. Koenig holds a degree in commercial interior design from Milwaukee Area Technical College and the coveted NCIDQ certification, the only nationally recognized professional interior design certification in the United States and Canada from the Council for Interior Design Qualification.
