Society Sundays Best PRactices
Pizzeria Piccola started the Society Sundays program in 2005 as a way to give back to the Wauwatosa community that so graciously supports us. Since its debut, Pizzeria Piccola has distributed more than $260,000 to local organizations. We look forward to partnering with your organization!
We are anxious to work with other organizations in the community as well. If you have an interest or know of anyone who does, please browse our main Fundraising page to find an opening and contact General Manager David Jarozewski. We look forward to hearing from you!
Steps to a Successful Society Sunday Event
Select and Confirm Date
You will need at least three weeks to promote your event. Immediately begin publicizing the event.
Create a Communication Strategy
Many guests have never dined with us before, so be sure to direct them to our website to view our full menu. Get the word out in every way you can and to as many people as you can – through your website, email, posters, flyers, social media, letters to parents, and potentially even a press release to the local media. Consider making your event even more of a draw with a special contest or giveaway or live entertainment provided by members of your school’s band, cheerleading squad or drama club.
Promote take-out orders and Frozen Pizza Sales
Maximize your profits! Mention in your communications that take-out orders can be placed on the day of the event in person or over the phone; we are able to partially or fully bake the pizzas and they can be finished or re-heated at home.
Photos
Create a memory to promote your cause after the fact, designate a photographer to take photos during the entire event – volunteers getting ready to open and close the restaurant, the entertainers, the patrons, etc. You can also use this to send out a press-release after your event for those that didn’t pick up the story, to begin with.
Information on the Cause
As we do not close to the public, our regulars take an interest in the causes that we are supporting. Having information on hand – photos/flyers, etc., helps to spread the word.
We hope that these suggestions are helpful. If you have any additional questions, please contact General Manager David Jarozewski at (414) 443-0800.
