Matt Taylor Wine Dinner featuring Ink Grade
The team at Harbor House is excited to feature the incredible wines of Ink Grade from Napa Valley, California for a five-course food and wine pairing dinner. We are honored to welcome Matt Taylor, a Napa Valley winemaker with over two decades of winemaking experience for this unique event.
Matt Taylor's passion for wine developed over a two-year journey around Europe and Africa, when he discovered the delights of sherry, biodynamic farming, and Burgundy. After returning to the United States, he worked as an assistant winemaker under Rod Bergland at Joseph Swan Vineyards. He eventually secured a position as a winemaker at Araujo Estate in Napa Valley, as well as harvest internships in Argentina and New Zealand. Prior to joining Ink Grade, Taylor founded Matt Taylor Wines, which focuses on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the West Sonoma Coast. Matt Taylor joined the Ink Grade team in 2020, working alongside Master Sommelier Carlton McCloy Jr.
Matt Taylor's diverse experiences inspired him to develop wines utilizing traditional biodynamic farming methods, making Ink Grade the largest Dementor Certified Biodynamic Ranch in Napa County. Ink grade produces single-estate wines that showcase the Howell Mountain terroir, including Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, Howell Mountain Merlot, Andosol Red Field Blend, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc.
